Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge

The Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge's Mission is to provide a safe, secure and permanent home for abused, neglected, and unwanted donkeys & mules. As a registered charity, the Refuge is a permanent home for all the donkeys and mules under our care. In the summer, our working farm opens its doors to offer visits, pre-booked tours, and specialized classes to help educate the public about large animal rescue, equine care, and the history of domesticated Donkeys and Mules in BC and around the world. Visiting the Donkey Refuge provides people with a special opportunity to connect with the donkeys & mules in our care in a peaceful environment and many visitors tell us how calm and grounded they feel after their visit. Donkeys love people and enjoy the attention of our visitors as much as the people enjoy the benefits of our 'Donkey Magic'. The Refuge provides an accessible facility where all visitors can feel welcome and learn a little bit about these amazing equines. The Refuge is primarily supported by our wonderful donors, and relies on the generosity of our donors, supporters & visitors to help us care for our resident Donkeys and Mules.
