The Llama Sanctuary is the largest dedicated camelid rescue organization in North America, responding to calls for assistance in incidents involving llamas and alpacas; providing rescue, rehabilitation, retirement and re-homing services and creating a nurturing environment for animals requiring long-term care.

The Sanctuary typically provides year-round care for around 60 llamas and alpacas and offers assistance for camelids requiring a temporary home in emergency situations.
